Valencia

This is some information about Valencia, which I visited recently in order to watch a football match between Alicante and Fuerteventura. I decided to go for the week as it was only slightly more expensive to do that than to go with the other UD Fuerteventura supporters who went for only a one night stay.

We arrived at Alicante Airport which is a fairly small airport in comparison with Madrid's which is huge. We got a taxi from the Ariport to our hotel. The taxis charge a surcharge from the airport for some reason.

The Valencia region is also called La Huerta (Garden of Spain) and it is made up of three regions Castellon, to the north Valencia in the centre and Alicante in the South. In this region they have a different language called Valencian which is similar to normal Castillian Spanish but you will notice some differences.
